Hello dear community.
Have the following problem:
I would like to create a DVD from one mpeg1 file and an existing, 9-minute-long DVD.
Yesterday I changed now the mpeg1 file into an mpeg2 file with TPMPEnc. The sound, of course, ended up as PCM. To conform with the other DVD to be, I have the sound changed with BeSleep an AC3 sound.
And fired on our DVD recorder playing - all the best.
Now the customer wants to watch the whole of the Windows Media Player. The first part - ie the former mpeg1 file - now the sound does not play, the second part - ie the former DVD - is to hear them.
To control the DVD once I've played on a MAC, where only the first part is played at double speed - also of course no sound.
I am now even faster to find a solution, but perhaps for her. Tomorrow it will finally be done ...

If this is the main application is the customer, encode the video but it simply as
Windows Media. Video Media Player plays DVDs often not correct. For this rule, a DVD software player is required.

But, of course, synonymous unsatisfactory. It would not solve the problem. Is it worthwhile to convert the sound of the two "films" to PCM, or synonymous to MP3?

wiiieeee not solve the problem? ;-) The problem is the Windows Media Player, not your DVD! For me, Media Player DVDs synonymous with PCM sound from just playing dumb. That is just "small and soft" (Microsoft).

Already clear. The customer wants to stop the films play tomorrow on a presentation on laptop. Because I am afraid I will not be able to convince him to the quick of a better player.
