Hi, I s.meinen my acer computer connected to Sony TV via HDMI and get no sound. Drivers up to date, speakers, etc. in order. Is this possibly a software problem? Does the PC recognize the TV monitor and, if so, how does he do it?

On my laptop I do to make always the default sound output to HDMI Ouput ". This goes with me, under System Control-> Sound-> Device or something like that. Then, of course, postpone again.
