Hello,
I have now quite a few topics in this forum read. I am, a forum on the topic camcorder to have found, in which so many professionals are active.
Now to my concern:
I have a Panasonic MiniDV camcorder of the first hour and a DigiKamera Canon Powershot S2IS (Superzoom). The camcorder is almost 10 Jare old, still relatively large and heavy. The new digiKam makes good pictures, but the video feature is an affront.
As for me s.meisten nerves, is always to drag both with and change to use. Since there are now devices that are both good or better than my old equipment can be, I would like to be an "all rounder" change.
Main application area: the holidays and the children
The question now is what is useful:
A camcorder such as Canon HF100/HF10, synonymous of good photos
or
DigiKamera eg a Casio Exilim Pro EX-F1 or the Kodak Z812 IS synonymous with HD resolution films can.
Since I recently had more photos than filmed, I would hastily tend to DigiKamera. But that was probably more s.Größenunteschied + weight difference of the old equipment. That would be the Canon HF100 to Comparison Casio Exilim Pro EX-F1 (730g) completely reversed.
Is there maybe some other devices, as all-rounder would fit? There should be but one with smart card, as I am with the DV tapes, not only had good experiences (Volume salad). HD Resolutionwäre desirable, since the TV right there. Absolute price ceiling is ¬ 1000.

Yes, the HDR-TG3, I had already seen synonymous.
BUT:

Is not something very small for full-HD and 4MP? Whether the image has a good (Compared to a HF10)?
It seems to me that the little camera for a lot of money is.

If I have ¬ 1000 to spend then I will of course synonymous one (very) good picture quality at least equivalent / better as to replace the old equipment.
Back to the question: what combination do you sense:
synonymous of the camcorder makes good photos (HF10/1oo?)
or rather
the DigiKamera the synonymous with HD resolution films can (EX-F1/Z812?)
A justification would be even more helpful.

The photos you can do with it, have "only" 3.1 mp, but the picture quality is very good. In any case a lot better than the SonyCX6 with 6MP, which I could try! For vacation photos and snapshots of the children is absolutely ok. Very nice is synonymous possible from the video images to generate.
Video:
Super Picture, sharp, no color (like CX5) and synonymous with fast pans or fast movement (child on bike), it is very good with (sports mode).
Actually I only wanted just one cam with smartcard (without HD or tape), but the HG10 has absolutely convinced me. The drive sounds, the fears I had are barely perceptible.
The only minus point is that the video software - which is an impudence! They want an asset, without which is nothing! But since the beginning of the activation was not working, I could not use it. After the activation geklappt had finally came the next shock: so spartan software really does not fit into the class ¬ 800-1000!
The only what to gebauchen is to play back videos. That is unfortunately not on the Explorer. To cut, I will probably have what sensible growth.

What do you mean with "what sound" - software or a new calculator - or both?

Only the software, because the calculator is with quad fast enough.
've Ever demo of Magix tested. The white, but with the files of the HG10 does not begin. Neither as yet as m2ts mts. Also, the update policy seems "strange" to be.
Pinnacle I had years ago with the old MniDV in use. This had massive Stabilitätsproleme. It may be that it now is better, but burned twice shy :-)
The dealer had me Canopus recommended times should be around me.
