If the head is to be stable, it must be very solidly built because of the long lever, and that is only possible with parts made of cast aluminum or machined from the solid.
With metal sheets or plastic is nothing to do about it.
The good heads are therefore relatively heavy and unwieldy, but if you have time and helped to set up, there is nothing better!
