for the question of MASU question, I am grateful, as I face the same problem. I must buy a new camcorder, since my last video camera with a digital 8 of Sony eingerungen is saltwater. I would now have a HDD camcorder to buy and ask me if I watch the videos of this same camera in the PC and with Pinnacle, as before the 8-digital video and using the Digital 8 camcorder to the PC transmitted video 8 - and Hi 8-videos? Or should I better again cassette camcorder to lay me? But still have a question on which I have long been set apart. Devices is becoming more and more, videos in AVI format to capture and zubearbeiten. Thereafter, however, the edited video for hours rendered in MPEG 2 and converted it to a DVD to burn. I capture it directly however with Pinnacle 2-in MPEG format and edit it, then rendering goes much faster and the result is always a video DVD in MPEG 2 format. So where is the difference?
Antwort von Udo Schröer:
First, it is a quality difference, DV video is now as high quality MPG.
DV video is inside the camera as a DV encoded video. Here is the recorded picture in the 1:5 compression factor and Picture in Picture for. When editing DV, you can easily cut s.jeder body.
MPG video is compressed in sogennaten GOP. Such a GOP consists of I, P, B pictures. Only the I frame contains comparable with the DV video to full resolution. P frames are saved only the changes since the frame I created. B frames and save changes back to your other pictures.
Too complicated? http://www.radonmaster.de/robernd/tMPEG.html
Here you can see why MPG is difficult to distinguish.
PS: The forum is full of people like her do not know how to make videos of the DVD / HDD / stick into the PC and get to be surprised about the bad quality. Who has advised you because? Here in the Forum Topics There is plenty to Themea via HDD DV MPG. And in each forum is the same, Who on the quality of his recordings is worth coming to DV is not over. An exception is here and although HDV will be synonymous to MPG eye alone but with much higher data rates.
