you're right: the EIZO monitor actually has 2 DVI connections. Is it because of this (Canon XHA1 Component Video to DVI cable)?

But is not that cheap (for the Xbox / Wii's Component-> HDMI for about 50 Eur) - with a simple cable isses as not done.
The Component is analog, DVI / HDMI Digital.
It's best in various Wii / Xbox rumsuchen forums - they have similar problems and their solutions - as they exist - are more likely to be consumer friendly.

That which has, like (the example here: http://www.amazon.de/Samsung-Syncmaster-Monitor-schwarz-Kontrast/dp/B0017HAR0I - but synonymous only 1x HDMI or DVI you verwechelst synonymous with HDMI). Because of the rarity - I think because 250,000 Dell monitors on the other hand, do not have HDMI, but DVI. : P
