LED walls represent a modern alternative to classic cinema projectors complete with screen. By creating the image directly on the self-luminous wall, the projector room is made superfluous - cinemas save space. While classic, analog film projectors had to be housed in a separate room because their film transport mechanics made them too noisy, new digital projectors get hot due to their high light output and have to be actively cooled, which also generates noise and therefore requires separation from the auditorium. ;) LG Miraclass LED Wall
Cinema owners battling competition from increasingly well-equipped home theaters can use smaller spaces as movie theaters or convert a large auditorium into several smaller ones with more luxurious seating and food service without having to waste space on a dedicated projector room, thanks to the new LED wall technology. Other advantages of LED technology over projection include high uniform brightness that does not fade at the corners and always provides distortion-free images, as well as higher energy efficiency. ;) LG Miraclass LED wall panel Samsung has been offering a corresponding solution for some time with its  Onyx Cinema LED technology, which is 500 nits bright and worldwide is already in use, including in four cinemas in Germany. Now LG also announces LED walls for the cinema. LG&s Miraclass LED walls, measuring up to 14.1 x 7.2 meters with a maximum resolution of DCI 4K (4,096 x 2,160), consist of a series of modular, seamlessly assemblable LED panels with 24-bit color depth and five levels of adjustable brightness from 48 to 300 nits. There are currently four sizes to choose from: 4K at 14.1 m x 7.2 m (101 square meters of area), 4K at 10.2 m x 5.4 m (55 square meters), and 4K/2K at 5.1 m x 2.7 m (14 square meters). ;) LG Miraclass LED wall Several cinemas in Europe are already using LG&s Miraclass LED walls, and they are soon to be installed in more cinemas worldwide.
