Dto. Without the addition. Old camcorder all had their quirks in Overscanbereich.

No, that vanishes in the non-visible edge.

Hi Markus,

I found this old thread, because I currently have the same problem. Do you still believe that the halt in some cams it is, or is there perhaps now is still a technical solution?

For me it looks: I cut reports, which I with my two Canons (XL1 and XM2) in 4:3 turn. It is, I noticed that the XL1 left and right a small black bar einblendet what the XM2 does not do. Previously this was no preference, because I always broadcasts for DVDs produced and have the inside edge of the overscan area is located. Now land the reports but synonymous as Flash files on the Internet and here is you know the whole picture to see.

Has anyone else any idea why this makes the XL1? Yet I could never find something about it.

Of greetings Olli

Yes, these thoughts, I am still. The technical solution is that when you export the video left and right generally narrow black bars or something of the drüberblendest Picture off so suddenly at Umschnitt not have any image edges are added or disappear.

More can not do that because, unfortunately, because older camcorder will never younger. ;-)

Tscha, which I had feared! Then I will probably have to be generally a little modest. Nevertheless, thanks for the quick help.

The more holes, the less cheese.
Conclusion: The more cheese, the less cheese!

OT: I must say, your signature is very nice cheese! But conversely, is a shoe out of the more holes, the more holes. zum Bild

The Canon XL1 has too few pixels on the chip (320,000) to the full PAL Resolutionauszugeben, so margins are s.den just black stripes.

Then would have to strip nearly 30% of picture width to take. ;-)
