Infoseite // RöhrenTV via Firewire Camera s.Final Cut Pro connected Tonversatz problem

Frage von Randoms:

I have put my picture from Final Cut Pro via external video display and a DV camera on a small CRT TV Preview.
The Picture synonymous with the works without problems. But the sound has an offset that is asynchronously.

The strange thing is that I had noticed at the first connecting no offset, but now already.
Is it possible to adjust for some kind of external output latency?

Audio runs at me over Firewire audio interface.
It is set in the audio / video settings, Final Cut Pro synonymous.

Am I mistaken, and it comes only with offset, or gibts da nen Trick?

Antwort von carstenkurz:

Know me with relevant settings in Final Cut Pro does not, but it would take time, it makes sense if there is an offset setting somewhere there. Only a test:

Time with the Quicktime (; Importing Pro) Player a short recording from a DV tape (; hands clapping for example), check on the main monitor, for example, on BTV and play again on DV / monitor. Then look at me, whether it is synchronously or not. This then same thing again about Final Cut Pro.

Actually Synchronous Problems on DV I / O are rather unusual.

I have the same problem every few weeks. After lengthy discussions and her help it on my system when I switch the video playback to Digital Cinema Desktop, just let go and then go back to FirewirePAL. Then it is on me again synchronously.

Good luck with the bug ;-)

Antwort von RickyMartini:

Progress through the camcorder s.ein speakers s.and is no Tonversatz (will give more, Picture + Sound -> AV-out).
In the variant Picture -> AV-Out and Sound -> Firewire is it nunmal inevitably lead to a Tonversatz.

I had once, years ago a similar configuration.

About System Preferences -> tab "Playback Control"
You can enter a sound - image shift, or adjust.

Sorry, that with the separate FireWire audio interface, I had not at perceived. Since I am surprised one Tonversatz synonymous not great.
I thought the sound would go along with the video signal over the same FW.
Is pure luck if this behavior does not offset. Some of these interfaces have their own configuration tool, with settings for buffer sizes / latency, perhaps it is regulated synonymous with it.

Why do you need for the preview sure the external FW audio interface for the interception, or what is it for a finished product and what role does this FW audio interface is missing? I would prefer to forego for the preview audio quality, and go over the camcorder outputs if it as FX V + A, the synchronization is guaranteed!
