Hi, have a quick question about Canon XH A1 and XL H1A
in conjunction with my I mac G5 and Final Cut Pro 5:
If the computing power of the mac I would have to suffice or if I then buy a new PC?

Imac Specifications:

-2Ghz Intel Core Duo
Bus speed 667MHZ

1Gb DDR2-SDRAM memory

-ATI Radeon X1600
VRAM (total) 128mb

So the iMac with 2GHz is rich, do not worry.
You should but you now decide whether NEN NEN G5 or Intel hast;)

However, you probably need Final Cut Pro on V6 update since the codecs CanonHDV only with Final Cut Pro 6 were supported.

Up dates yes, straight up would not necessarily be supported since V5.1.4 as universal binary (which he does anyway, because he actually an Intel Mac has).
