Hello,

I currently film with the Panasonic GS 500. With the Picture (very natural shots), I am satisfied.

Because of better opportunities and manual of the higher picture quality, I plan to switch to Canon.

My question: If the man with Canon in HD filming and then the PC via the SD quality of converts (to the recordings s.einem regular DVD player to be able), brings one - visible - quality? Or so the focus remains roughly comparable with the images of the Panasonic?

The advantage is, of course, that the recordings on Mini-DV HD lie.

But there is already - on a tube TV - apparent benefits?

principle of comparative lagging, your question regarding the quality of sd is permissible to ask, I would suspect that the format 4:3 (DV) to 16:9 (HDV) is the decisive factor.

s.der gs400 I have no interest.

The 500 GS is filming but synonymous in 16:9 (I am not completely mistaken).

I would be really interested in out of curiosity, when Canon transformed with the material of the 500 GS compares to whether there is a - visible - advantage for the Canon there?

Perhaps the converted material to a HD Camera synonymous otherwise specified (perhaps depending on software). But I think you know what I mean.

HDV is 16:9 mandatory, but DV can be just as 16:9.

The XH A1 is a different league than the GS500, you have much more options and with proper handling synonymous ensure a better SD picture. The major thrust of what the picture quality is concerned, however, comes only when you completely in HDV work.

One last question I have: If the HDV recording on the PC is, in what quality will they be displayed? Depends on the monitor from? So what Resolutionder monitor can show?

For me, a new monitor due. I ask for it.

If I have footage via firewire example of a Canon XH A1 to the PC games, I could then watch in full quality?

But otherwise? Is there more zubeachten (except of PC and graphics card)?
