Currently I have the Panasonic GS11 and am quite happy with the picture quality in bright sunlight. What would interest me if the NV-GS400 with their 3chip sensor has a much larger dynamic range, synonymous with natural light, or whether the not so impinge?

Since only one that will probably help to make a test with two models in the same heavy-light-dark motif and see who has the higher contrast ratio.
The dynamic range of CCD is not "size" eg 1 / 6 ", 1 / 4, 5 or 1 / 3" bound, here is it really depends on the quality of the individual CCD or CMOS. I suspect still an improvement on the newer models. Especially IT CCD's have a professional video cameras with a wide dynamic range.
