Hello,
I have a mac with QuicktimePro and Final Cut Pro Studio. I now have a finished project, wants the whole as AVI, DV or so and then spend with my Windos calculator with the Windows Media Encoder to compress, which I in my Compressor no constant bitrate target. Unfortunately, the WME not recognize the codec with which I have compressed by the Mac, I've DVC50, DV Stream, etc. from tried and it does not work. Is there a codec which runs on both platforms and the video as uncompressed it?
Thanks for the help in advance, for solutions, I would be very grateful.

Quicktime on the PC. On the Mac, you can but synonymous as DV-AVI output. Or via MPEG Streamclip. Or ffmegx. On tape or via off. Or via BMP. Or via Quicktime as DV unchanged off in an editing program in Windows and of there with the Windows Media Encoder output. Otherwise, look at "Cleaner" for Mac. Or Flip4Mac Studio. Or Episode Pro.

Personally, I would export to DV-AVI Files prefer. Then you have "on the way to the PC" no loss of quality will be compromised. In addition, XP sees the DV codec, by default, without that you have to install additional codecs.

I've now exported as avi, dv codec-pal, is not large 9GB file but can not open under windows, is not synonymous with the WME.

9GB is not large file it can not open under windows As you have the file from Mac to PC transported? If with a FAT-formatted external hard drive, it might then be that of the de facto 9GB only 2 GB (or a broken file) for Windows arrive ..

I work with a NAS server, which is the problem, but thanks for the help. I have now only as AVI DV rausgegeben have tried over mpegstreamclip. The other option would cost me something, or can I use it with the cleaner free of charge for people?
Are there any other solution? With Quciktime are synonymous, I have tried, is not synonymous. I'm stumped on DV tape, I can not.
