Somehow I'm s.Ende with my Latin.
The SDHC card, which I bought for my camcorder, I detected no card reader ...
The card is a new Kingston 16GB SDHC Class4 card, which functions in the camcorder without problems (I can play, record, format, delete, etc.). I bring the "Lock" switch in the locked position, the card is synonymous locked properly (can not record on the card's) and vice versa is synonymous unlocked without problems.
I put the card into a card reader, a (full-SDHC-compatible "up to 32MB / s") then nothing happens. I click the drive chart on the drive for the appropriate drive slot, is only appropriate that I should insert a disc into the drive. The control LED burns s.Leser not synonymous and it opens a folder content window in Windows.
This is me now happened with two different card readers (one of the company and one of Digisol hama).

No. I tip darauv times more likely that your card readers are not clear on the map.
Have you ever tried with NEM adapter where you put the small card inside then read this?
Otherwise s.in the store with the card reader and then some to try until you get the card you can directly read / recognize.

If your cam is detected then you may not be synonymous to "auto play" function display in the operating system?
Where can really only guess at the time, the question whether you even know which one it ;-)
Since then the external disk (that is, USB and CDs etc are not started at all.
But as I said if it works with the card via Cam then I go sometimes not assume ;-)

:-) No worry, a full-noob then I'm not synonymous with respect to the Auto Play function. :-)
As far as my operating system is that all the works.
Each of the card reader works fine for example with an inserted SM card, say card is in the (other) rules slot and the autoplay feature is direct access to the card.
But the idea with the adapter, for example on ne Compact Flash card is good. I've recently seen at low NEN pearl.de ...
