Frage von frank.wagner:

Hello,

I have both XP synonymous as a MacBook pro. So slowly, I would completely synonymous with the DV editing on the Mac switch

Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 under 10.5.3 is installed. There is a Panasonic NV-GS300 Videor camera. Yesterday I filmed a few sequences
With the XP laptop no problem with the import of the film on UBS

Between the Mac, I wanted to have a firewire cable s.der DV port of the GS300 import the data accordingly. The GS300 was the PC connection mode. Unfortunately I had to find that Premiere (Mac) Unfortunately, the GS300 is not recognized.

In Premiere Pro, I have under Settings / Control Devices / Options PAL and Panasonic set. The GS300 can not choose. I have simply chosen thus standard

What am I doing wrong?

I know your camera, and Premiere, I know only of the old 6.5er version. Could it possibly be that those "PC Connection" mode a pure USB story? Both under the old first mentioned as synonymous with iMovie or FinalCut does the firewire connection only on the VCR / VTR - mode ( "Play") with all cameras that I know (even just 10).
Premiere shutting down camera off. Camera again, in the Play mode, then start Premiere. Try only das

You do not need to be bold to write, and you need no drivers for firewire. It seems you are Premiere Beginners. What the manual says?
Look beyond these

Antwort von frank.wagner:

Premiere Beginners yes

Then I'll start with simple logic:

MacBook pro Mac with 10.5.3 installed

Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 (version 3.2.0 (374)) installed

Panasonic NV-GS300 Video Camera (running under Windows)

Firewire Connection

Because the entire yes now do not have any special components are, I can be a problem s.dieser body and must exclude the errors in my own search.

Is it advisable, therefore Premiere again to re-install?

Ok,

I think the 5 euro for a new cable in advance should I invest

PS: Actually, this combination should not be unusual - Has anyone here in the forum the same combination in use?
