Hello,
I had some time ago with my camcorder (Canon HV20), a movie distributed over several days (vacation video taken off).
I have during the shooting on mini DV (SonyDVM the recording format) changed, of DV to HDV.
Only when later read the manual of the camcorder I've read that you should not do this.
So I realize that I have since made a fatal mistake.
However, as I now still get the video transferred to my PC.

I guess Adobe Premiere Pro CS3, HDV and DV but it should be able to read?

can it synonymous, but it is only within the appropriate project-or sequence-settings, ie dv -> dv-sequence and for hdv -> hdv sequence.

Adobe can only be read in an HDV project HDV ... and in an SD project only SD files. I understand that the settings are not sequence but on project.
You need 2 projects in CS3.

In the playback / output setup, you have to change that is still synonymous of HDV to DV and vice versa.
I have in my Spezailfall synonymous "automatic" switch so that it will play all formats and transfers.
