Question of a layman, who is considering a new DV editing software to buy (my PC has Vista pre-installed): what is the real difference - apart from the price - between Premiere Pro 6.5 or 7 and CS4?

Final Cut Pro can not AVC (HD) transcodiert but in a different codec, which you have the main advantages of AVC lose.
If you want to do so AVC would be the first choice ADOBE CS4.

For me, the problem appears linked Page. It is then due to what the page title suggests: the new features of CS4.
