Infoseite // Can Adobe Encore DVD 1.5 no 16:9-format?

Frage von Tiger955:

Hello!

I try in vain to a video file
Video: 3.79 GB, 18213 Kbps, 25.0 fps, 1280 * 720 (16:9), MPG2 = MPEG 2 (SVCD / DVD)
(Info from the middle stream AVI codec out)
which consists of Adobe Premiere 2.0 was exported with the following settings:

Format: MPEG2
Default: 720 25p 10 Mbit / s VBR

Video: PAL 1280x720 25fps, progressive, quality-5.0
Audio: 384 kbit, ...
2-pass VBR, Min 4.0 Target 10.0 Max 18,500

Pixel ratio: 16:9 widescreen

In Encore 1.5, as an asset to import.

Encore reports: "The file xyz can not be imported. Video files for this project must have a Resolutionvon have 720x576 or 720x480."

Seems therefore not to be processable widescreen? Is das

However, you can turn
(Extract from deer online help)
Pixel aspect ratio of a set of assets
-------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------

You can within a project assets with different pixel aspect ratios to mix.

What if you can not import 16:9?

Adobe Encore DVD evaluates each pixel aspect ratio of the assets when importing from. It may happen that false information assets, so Adobe Encore DVD does not correctly identify them. To change the pixel aspect ratio of an asset you can use the command "interpret footage" is used.

Footage can be interpreted only click when the asset is imported!

By changing the pixel aspect ratio of a video asset, the cut in a window has been used, is synonymous the picture aspect ratio of the average window changed. Information on changes in the aspect ratio for a still image editing window, see picture aspect ratio set.

To evaluate footage from:

Select the tab "Project" from the file.
Select "File"> "interpret footage".
Select in the dialog box the option "alignment", and then select the pixel aspect ratio:
Square pixels (1.0) for a file, with the square pixels was created.
Standard (0.9) or (1.066) for a file, with the non-square pixels with an aspect ratio of 0.9 (NTSC) or 1.066 (PAL) was created.
Widescreen (1.2) or (1.422) for a file, with the non-square pixels with an aspect ratio of 1.2 (NTSC) or 1.422 (PAL) was created.
Click "OK."

Kurios the whole.

Asking for your tips.

I think synonymous, to the new AP in Encore CS3 integrated switch.

I hope then to 16:9 without any problems.

Your problem lies in the image:

PAL 1280x720 25fps

Encore can not handle PAL 720x576.

Scale your image to 720x576 video in a nonlinear editing system and it works synonymous with the 16:9.

How should I interpret this?

"Normal" 720x576 (= 4:3) from Premiere and then export to Encore in 16:9 "bloat"?

This will distort it, or?

Export it with 720x576 pixel resolution, but not LETTERBOXed but anamorphic (as it is synonymous to the commercial DVDs). Then klappts.

Also has a 16:9 PAL 720x576 px Resolutionvon. But the aspect ratio is interpreted differently:

PAL 720x576 px = 4:3, Aspect Ratio 1.067
PAL 720x576 px = 16:9, Aspect Ratio 1.422

Pixels in miniDV, PAL will be interpreted as rectangles, and through the horizontal. The result is then different screen widths.

In addition, you try a standard DVD with an image resolution of 1280 x 720 px to create what in the DVD standard is not at all.

I have tried the following:
Export to a 720x576 (4:3) pre-set sequence, "a film" - otherwise I do not come to the settings with anamorphic

Settings look like this:
******
Export
Video and Audio
Complete sequence

Filetype
Microsoft DV AVI

Video settings
Compressor: DV PAL
Frame size: 720H576V (2,000)
Frame rate: 25.00 frames / second
Pixel Aspect Ratio: Anamorphic 2:1 (2.0)
Fields: Lower field first

Audio Settings
Compressor: Uncompressed
Sample rate: 48000 samples / second
Channels: Stereo
Sampletyp: 16 bit
********

I get an avi that looks rather compressed, ie the pictures are almost square.

Then this Avi imported into Encore, "interpret footage" and tried widescreen (or synonymous all other possibilities). I do not have a widescreen or a standard 4:3. There is always almost a portrait, although I wanted to Width.

Where is the error in the settings?

Thank you

So again slowly:

What editing program?
Which project settings in the editing program?
What Resolutionhat your original film you into the editing program importierst?

If you have a 16:9 DVD, then the setting in your editing program accordingly are: PAL, 720x576 px, 16:9 aspect ratio, aspect ratio 1.422.
And so you must export your movie synonymous.

Hello!

All clear.

I did try a new project in 16:9 format and put this in a 4:3 Projket imported. That may be nothing.

You write so:

I was just old 4:3 to 16:9 Project exported.

APP program is 2.0 and Encore 1.5

Now again as bechrieben tested and everything works!

Thank you!
