There is a Share-/Freeware program to output DV video via a FireWire card? I do not need a great editing program.

Is it possible to convert an Mpeg stream in real time DV?

Yes, there is such a tool! I once quote the sake of simplicity the text of the Web site of the programmer:

I am a registered customer for years and have not regretted the purchase! Fast, easy and saves space. This gave me a few years ago even on a 450 MHz Pentium Veror does not support frames.

The program captured detects scenes, allows trimming of clips and save AVIs back again (on the camera provided these do not permit).
