Hi,
I bought an external USB 3.0 Freecom drive. Sorry will not Videeo deluxe record of it, since it is formatted as FAT32. A window advises to reformat as NTFS.
Is this advised?

Yes.
Unless you want the drive between s.Mac used as synonymous PC.
Fat32 an already quite strong dusty file system that should be used only for compatibility (and if nothing else works, such as on memory cards in digital photo taking pictures) is.
