Is it possible to use 8-video movies to play on?
In the title was still Hi8 tapes of the speech, which could depending on your projects of importance, because while you Video8 exclusively in only one component connection (FBAS - read: Yellow Male, White and / or Red Male) can produce you can Hi8 to achieve better image quality than with Video8, Hi8 because the recorded signal in Color, brightness and hi-fi sound is split and you have S-Video Male (Hosidenstecker) instead of the yellow Chinchsteckers can use.
To your project: I know your DVD Recorder does not, but your recorder has guaranteed Chincheingänge and S-Video input. Then you have your playback device (Hi8 or Video8-camera) with your recorder and can thus connect your video on DVD or on your internal hard drive recorder save.
Note however that this method is not particularly well suited if you have your film after s.PC still want to edit (title only, shake rausschneiden, picture stabilization, color, etc. ..)
If you only use the material of the camera remains on DVD or on the recorder-hard drive and want to banish s.Material do not want to change, this method is well suited with (depending on the DVD recorder) rather considerable quality.

Dear Unknown helper "My bird, the correction words back ....... I have actually the tape in the title is probably wrong because I find it so of the manual was written off, which apparently applies to both tapes. On the stands Handycam Vision Video 8 but only XR, so I used synonymous such tapes. For SVideo s.Videogerät I have no times, synonymous with the camera can be connected. So I have s.Videogerät in "Video" in yellow and at L (Mono) or Audio R white inserted. So synonymous with the Camera. Aaaaaber it just does not .!!?? What am I doing wrong? Thank you and greeting eseger

This DVD / hard disk recorder has already older type, because he is under sony.de impossible to find, but the successor model RDR-HX520. The operating instructions for this device says that A / V-A with RCA jacks are not there, just OUT. You have to have a SCART input use. There are SCART adapter (even switched IN / OUT), so that the AUDIO / VIDEO cable Video8 camcorder with the RCA plugs with the FP-recorder may be combined. Attempt something like that.

Thank you for your reply Finally, I have done it that I have the V8-film on the DVD hard drive can be transferred. But now I have another, resulting question. They wrote that the film on the DVD device is not very well edited, but this is better on the PC is possible. How do I get the film from the V8-tape to the PC and do I have to have a special program to edit the film? I hope I do not strain your patience too much and thank you in advance for the best advice. Yours sincerely eseger

As you of the movie Video8-tape to the PC can have you already Bernd link said. If you want to edit the film, all you need, a editing program. I go now assume that you are not yet next with video editing employs searched, therefore it is probably the best if you're not with an overly complex professional editing program to run. I have had with MAGIX Video deluxe begun. That some see as even semi-editing program that some say that it is total nonsense children. Now I was (and still am) very happy with Magix Video deluxe and can only strongly recommend next. I have had my version for 99 ¬ in the electronics store bought. While there are always new versions out, but you ridicule price update (upgrade) it if you have a full version first.
