Frage von DavidGoldmann:
Hi folks,
I have a few questions about the times Video Editing and Windows Movie Maker.
So I have a camcorder to SonyDCR-PC107E and have the times with the firewire cable with my PC.
When I "of video device" and then had to chose the best quality (720x576) then he has the video in several parts divided. Why is that? Why he captured the video not as a whole. How can I stop?
Another problem was that the video that he has saved an avi-file is that with any player can open. Why can the Windows Movie Maker created avis not play?
Otherwise I would still be interested. When the product of my camcorder stands "Advanced HAD !" CCD recording chip with 800,000 pixels. If I were but in the Movie Maker only the resolution (720x576 = 414,720) can choose, then go to me but about 400,000 pixels, or lost? Why do I have to transfer to the PC does not take higher resolution?
I would be very grateful to you if you give me could answer my questions.
Thanks & Regards
David

These extra pixels are already in the record on tape in the camera no longer needed because the SD PAL format with this Resolutionvon just 414,000 pixels, well defined. The serve also available - if any - of the electronic image stabilization and / or function of the photon.

When I "of video device" and then had to chose the best quality (720x576) then he has the video in several parts divided. Why is that? Why he captured the video not as a whole. How can I stop? WMM, I know only very superficially. What you describe is the automatic separation scene, or Cliperkennung. I do not know if you have them in a default WMM off of it. If not, this would be my opinion, two reasons not tragic:
First, it is practical, for an overview of more or less extensive material, in this already divided up and takes as thumbnails to get sorted. Others ask here again after this feature.
Secondly, you can find the clips in chronological order in your timeline, drag, without changing anything, then you will have as a result of your recordings without interruption.
Another problem was that the video that he has saved an avi-file is that with any player can open. Why can the Windows Movie Maker created avis not play? It is important as what you after cutting your timeline exportierst. It depends for what purpose. For Web's because there's the WMV format, for further processing in other programs would s.besten DV Pal, and for DVD, it should be Mpeg2.
"Avi" is not a codec, just a file format. This file can be anything there. The WMP for example, but one should gecapturetes Avi (= IR) from WMM can play, the VLC probably synonymous.

So neither the Windows Media Player or the VLC player to play the avi file from.
You say "For Web's because there's the WMV format, for further processing in other programs would s.besten DV Pal, and for DVD Mpeg2, it should be."
Where can I use to export and choose whether it wmv, DV-Pal or Mpeg2 be?
Many greetings

Next, the

to save the movie with the setting options. Here my
source. Mpeg2 for DVD probably needs an extra encoder. Quote:
Who from his videos a video CD or DVD makes, should be Movie Maker project as DV-AVI and then render with an MPEG encoder such as TMpeg into the right format to convert.
