Hello
I am embarrassed to even ask, I feel like a bloody beginner, but I am stuff in video editing synonymous. the following problem - I have a SonyDSR-TRV33E - with IR port, yellow audio / video port and USB port (for accessing the memory card). an IEEE 1394 Firewire port, I have net, not synonymous pci slot. just as I thought for a s-video input, but now I have been synonymous since my doubt. is a yellow, round port with holes for four pin's. the type of video has landed me an adapter for my video / sound cables to the camera, because the synonymous drauf passt.
what are s-video ports? if only one source, then there is no possibility the footage to play like?
if they do, what software is talking to the s-video port, it's sony image mixer tut's net. thank you in advance - configuration is: two partitions, WinXP and Linux Knoppix 3.4, of the hardware should have no problems.

Hi Jan,
a SVHS connector (Hosiden synonymous, mini-DIN or Y / C called) do you see in the picture below. Compact camcorder, but often have a four jack for connecting video and stereo audio, for which a special cable is required.
Still, it is the majority of camcorder, the only video outputs but no inputs. A glance at the manual often helps here next. Otherwise, you can Rückspielung from PC to tape synonymous by trying to find out.

Without the camera to know if you have a DV port, it means DV Digital Video. Digital video data are transmitted via IEEE1394 iLink = Firewire = DV = (out or in / out) transferred. So maybe you've been an IEEE1394 Firewire = = = iLink DV out?
Or only if you missed the above Beschreinung?

Is it possible for a PS / 2 port for a keyboard or a mouse? (PS / 2 SVHS looks very similar).

if so, then assume that it is an S-video port of your laptop just an output that is not an input. That is at least I - am not a fan of laptops, since you can not really screw around on it - not aware that there laptop with S-video input, and if they do, the play is certainly not in the Aldi Preislliga, which does not mean that there is of you.

no, sorry misunderstanding. I said because of the camera, which has a Firewire port, the problem is - just that my laptop has not synonymous, and no PCI slot ... - NEN just s-video (input / output - I'm not even so sure).
