Infoseite // Final Cut Pro 5 - Compressor - compress takes 24 hours !!!?!

Frage von theorizee:

Hello!
I have now tried. I have a 28 minute long film in hd rotated, and send the entire next s.compressor now. I will then try to hdv.264 to compress, and then the compressor will open a "Batch Monitor", where I can watch the compress ... and then takes the entire 24 hours. I do not know me from ... I have tried different things, with different compression modes. but nothing with a normal quality takes less than 20 hours. I wrote a macbook, DUAL 2 intel core, 2 GB of memory, graka onboard.
cpu utilization is "well over 100%, and the macbook then really long by 20 hours. 've always canceled after 10h because I had not the nerve and there was something not right.
kann mir jmd say, as I understand it reasonable to hd quali compress it?
many thanks:)

Antwort von tommyb:

If your material is high-resolution, Effects includes (synonymous normal color correction) and then exported with complex codecs such as h.264 is, then, such a rendering duration absolutely nothing special.

When it will go faster:
- To 8-core Mac switch
- Quality (motion vector search, etc.) in the codec down screws
- Resolutionreduzieren

Antwort von PowerMac:

H.264 is pretty much the worst format for export.

synonymous if I normally try to export to a quicktime file stinknormalen, not hd, then the file is more than 2gb. and once the file over 2gb in size begins to s.mir is more than one file to make, ie at a total size of 4.8 gb makes me the 2 files with 2 gb and A WITH 0.8 gb but I need everything in one file, one can help me?
there are always a kind of master file, but if the other 2 files will not work anymore.

I seriously advise you to take an hour to read the manual. You seem to be nothing. Final Cut Pro, make sure any new files, if a size of more than 2 GB. At most on a FAT partition. If your timeline is rendered, it takes a Quicktime export not more than half an hour. A Quicktime conversion takes even longer. And does a s.längsten export via Compressor. So Timeline is rendered, it will simply render the files in the same codec as the timeline is written into a file, done. You have to see the different codecs to see. H.264 needs, especially in HD is always very long. But there is hardly any alternatives. What about H.264?

including h.264? I have with the Sony HDR FX1 hd rotated in and now just wants the whole synonymous in hd can see, so I thought I must use h.264, or am I mistaken there?
the manual IHC now have read, at least with everything has to render and export. everything was as I knew, and nothing has solved my problem ...
I have a picture uploaded as an attachment, it looks like to me, fc splits the film into several files ....
what is the best option if I have a 30 minute film and have it in hd would like to render, so it fits on a dvd (4gb).
just give me s proposal, which would be nice .... So which file and what codec.
thank you very much

Antwort von TiMovie:

My tip would be
1. in any case should your film editing in the timeline has already rendered his!
2. export your HD material with the normal HDV 1080i or HDV 1080 25p codec
3. only the exported material in your preferred format using Final Cut Pro or QuickTime or Compressor to encode!

sounds a bit awkward to - but it usually goes s.schnellsten!

But why with H264? as the fellow said, this is the most rechenaufwendigste codec, better take the HD mpeg2 codec with 19Mbits of compressor - if you do not, you should aktuallisieren compressor!

Another tip --
get Visual HUP and encode the already exported HDV 1080i / p
material in mp4/H264 - the decoder is quick and should be at a 1 / 2 hours of material quickly Vertige!
synonymous with a MacBook dual core!

Antwort von TiMovie:

! to export more to "convert with Quicktime ... ' Export!

Antwort von PowerMac:

No, Quicktime export. Quicktime conversion is slow.
