Infoseite // Recording with TV card

Frage von Mörkes:

Hi,
I once again a question. So there is already taking in recording programs for TV cards, which is directly in AVI format? That would interest me in flames. Not least because the recordings in AVI format which is space-saving. Hoping for feedback:)

Antwort von Fan29:

What do you mean platzparender? If you eg to DIVX or so are capturing it is obviously a space-saving, but that is hardly possible in real time. ;-)
I once had a PowerSeller irgendso Cinema in nem Aldi PC here, so you could start usin DIVX.
Nevertheless, I recommend you take first in MPEG2 and then compress the whole.

Antwort von Mörkes:

Why? Because then the quality is so much better than if we would take it to DivX in real time? : /

Antwort von MiXMaster:

It is not about the quality but because the drum instant it is not possible to calculate the compression so fast that nothing gets into a standstill

Antwort von Markus:

Hi All,

I understand the debate is not so very ... what is it really about? Movies recorded from television will be saved as possible to save space and still in good quality? Then MPEG2 would probably be the first choice, especially if the TV has a hardware card for encoding, which can (obviously) in real time.
