Hello,
I have a few weeks ago SonyDVD505E bought the camcorder and would like with this one cave film. Although the first attempts with my LED head lamp is the only source of light has not been bad, I need for something larger halls (distance max. 10-20 meters from the film) a video light. The whole thing should not be too hard and compact, reasonably robust for the transport in the padded and waterproof bag and quickly slip or break aufsetzbar.
Due to the positive reviewers here in the forum, I have the L04 IDX X3-Lite in the eye. The 12 volt supply (12 volts but is not it?) On Battery is already resolved - as I would the local battery shop tinker something suitable.
The following questions, I have this:
1. The SonyDVD 505E has a Aufsetzschuh. This is only a "shoe-accessories" means. These shoes are normalized, that adapts the L04 IDX X3-Lite on it, or if no, can the whole thing over a failing adapter trick? The 505er at the potential energy on the camcorder is not an issue for me - because I will be yes to the 12 V Battery have.
2. Do I have regarding "White Balance" and "color", etc. something? If the auto Sonyja actually make?
3. Has anyone experience with shooting in caves or at night and can give me some tips?

That was your wish, just a word, but it really only raises new questions. So here a little bit more.
Your camera should be the "Active Interface Shoe", a Sony-developed, the traditional with the accessory shoe, which the rest of the world for decades to use is not compatible. If you have selected your lamp still s.der DVD505 want to use, leaves only one adapter. Den is ready to buy or you tinker yourself a (Instructions on the Web).

thanks for the detailed answer. I think with the adapter, I can live.
The problem is just the specific scope of the cave is relatively long and narrow (approximately 1 / 3 Creepage - that means for us amateur cavers then Schlufen "). For 90% of the recordings, a distance of 5 meters, sufficient. Only the "Königsdom" s.Höhlenende with its beautiful stalactites has larger dimensions. However, should synonymous here a distance of max. 10 meters range, because if I stand in the middle hall and a large swing is doing everything it synonymous. And if it's just something "roars" this is not my next bad, because as yet there is no film footage of this hall.
Until one is Königsdom (one way) already over 2 hours. The whole thing should not be too heavy and big. My waterproof Transportation has a ton of outside diameter of 20 cm and an inner hole of 13 cm.
What I did not previously have thought, are Color and White Balance. Do I have something here, or makes the Sony car?
Do you see paid and portable alternatives (first times. Max. EUR 200) for my purpose. Burn time of 0.5 - 1 hours are completely sufficient.

There are at your use only two possibilities of her color: daylight (which returns as the X3-Lite) or artificial (which provide most of the other head lights). Accordingly, you set the white balance of an AND Camera ready. The automatic because I would not use.

No, it is a right, called "Wild Cave", because due to the dangers and difficulties only spelunkers as I clean. There are no guided tours. If the Königsdom since its discovery 50 years ago, perhaps 100 people have entered, this will be a lot!
Will I probably the X3-Lite growth. I am the preliminary with the White Balance times at close range with my helmet lamp LED (12 LEDs) of Petztl. Would actually light the same temperature.
Since the X3-Lite is not exactly cheap, I will be there first time with a radiation test. After Buy goes still.

As a video light, I had now bought the SWIT 2010. And both directly in the UK, as there are - at least with the then exchange rates - was favorable. Then came synonymous of promptly within 5 days.
