Hello,

Light with different wavelengths has different refractive indices - see the rainbow. Lenses are expected to hold white light - only red or blue light will therefore be focused not just where it should. In blue behind them, in front of red (or is it vice versa?).

and while that is wrong, but the above statement is not the reason for the uncertainty in the imaging of saturated primary colors (red, green, blue). The electronics measures the sharpness of the camcorder so the basis of contrasts.
