Hallo ihr Lieben,
I have a big problem. I've been home this week in a video project at school. Since I am recently a new laptop gekriegt have (Dell vostro 1510), I wanted the camcorder (Panasonic) to try it immediately.
My problem is that I am now in a FireWire cable with 2 identical (M) connectors but the camcorder does not recognize the laptop and the laptop is not the camcorder. - Are there any drivers for the works?
I do not know how I connect my entire material can and tomorrow I must start to cut ... Would be grateful of any response!

Hello!

Have s.einem similar problem long rumgedockert until I had found that the firewire port of my PC was broken.

In your case would proceed as:

Panasonic camcorder via Firewire cable with ALIA ALIA notebook PC or connect. About Windows Movie Maker to restore. If the camera is displayed there?

If not:

second camcorder s.dem OTHER PC. Is this detected? Then the Firewire port of the Panasonic or the cable is defective.

If you're brave, you can work the other camcorder s.Dein laptop to connect to find out whether the FW port on the laptop is ok. Is this broken and has the FW port on your Panasonics destroyed, is probably synonymous with the second camcorder feathers leave.

In these experiments I have in any event, the FW interfaces S.3 camcorders destroyed.

If the camcorder show anything because if he s.einen PC is connected? Which camcorder model is it?

Hello,
So I got the camcorder already s.meinen PC (where all the years it has worked) but that does not work. even with USB cable the computer recognizes my camcorder not. I know not why this is.
My problem is that despite good connection no contact with the notebook or PC is. Could that perhaps with the operating system what to do?
I have on my new laptop and Vista on my PC Windows XP ...
I'm grateful for any help!
