Hi All,

I would like to immortalize my VHS and Video 8 tapes to DVD and am looking for a reasonably cheap and good solution.

After I have read some threads on this subject, I am, however, but more and more confused, what I really need.

I'm about to go up a ADVC 55 myself, but I read on several occasions that one but it should grow better, a cut card, since the capture of FW is not always the best should be. By ADVC55 You're much better off ...

The capturing via Firewire is the standard when transferring digital audio - and video data. For what reason should be "not always the best"? Your dealer may want to sell something he does not have in stock?

[ADVC-55] is not quite so cheap, in part. A/D Converter) in Erinnerung rufe, dann muss Dich Dein Fachhändler ja ziemlich verunsichert haben.


The ADVC-55 is not a cheap video grabber, but a serious tool that provides a good (Picture-/Sound-) quality. And good tools just synonymous cost good money. The Canopus converter, I can recommend in good conscience, because I myself now have two of them in action.

Recently, I had once played with the idea of coming to get one of those cheap USB video grabber, to make me a better opinion of it can. - But then reason took hold of me and I had the money for it too bad. ;-)

not only my dealer has rattled me to stop synonymous various forums in various threads.
My dealer has been good to let anything come I is not so firm hold in videoschnitt. canopus and he does not know himself has probably nen Pinnacle einsatz with whom he is very happy but the gibts probably not.
He has not synonymous lying around in the corner. if so, then he would order me hold something. Canopus kreigt but he probably does not on its wholesalers.

Get tickets to me then yes but a clear conscience to the ADVC 55.
As I said, I'm just still become very uncertain and there are just under ¬ 200 but then quite a lot if you do not know if that's correct.

If it still does not work then I'll stop crying loudly, "Mark is guilty";)

Yes, that I would be very interested.

And s.Rande One short note: If you are ordering from a mail order something, you have according to law, a 14-day return policy. If you are satisfied, the converter is not so for any reason, then you can pack up and return it to the dealer. ;-)

so, I have the ADVC-55 is now just over two weeks in operation and had not made use of my right to return:))
not because I have forgotten it, but because I am absolutely happy with it.
I bought myself with my dealer installed ne (even very cheap) firewire card, ADVC-55 and is connected in part worked on anhieb, even with SP2 installed;)
Recording only on MSP, easily, and then reviews whether the good times WinDV downloaded and tried: TOP.
Thanks to the simple bedienenung of WinDV quality on my PC is now scheduled tasks and scripts VCR replacement with a full super.

is already wrong. And if not, the system will halt only new to me, put SP1. Hab ne to capture their own partition on the synonymous only 2-3 are installed programs that I need to viedeobearbeitung. since dauerts then luckily not so long

So it was not meant. ;-) I do not want to discourage you, but will prepare you to simply point out that there could possibly happen in the future something else. If your converter is then suddenly no longer detected, think simply to the SP2. ;-)
